Among many, one man who appears to be following in the steps of his fellow countryman Essien, is 24 year-old Crvena Zvezda striker, Boakye Yiadom. He has been in form for his Serbian club side this season, having found the net 18 times already. Having worked under Blues gaffer Antonio Conte at Juventus, he has already been linked with a
move to the Stamford Bridge.
In reaction to recent speculations linking him with Chelsea, he said: “At the moment I am playing well with Red Star Belgrade so we will see who will contact me. If I am going to play for Chelsea, then I’ll go.”
Ahead of an Europa league clash against Arsenal on Thursday, the player has been speaking tough. In an interview, he reportedly said: “I will go back to the Emirates Stadium to face Arsenal, and I will score because I deserve it.” He also spoke of his desire to get past legendary goalkeeper Petr Cech in the Arsenal goal. He said: “I will like to face Cech again because when you face a player like him and score, it has more weight. You will remember it more and celebrate it more.”

Meanwhile, Antonio Conte is currently short of options in his squad as he did not get many of his target in the last summer transfer window despite selling a chunk of his players. Yiadom come-and get me plea may not fall on deaf ears as he could be a good option to Morata in attack.
He has scored 30 goals in 41 appearances for Red Star Belgrade since joining them in the penultimate season.
