The United boss made several changes yet still named an incredibly strong side, with Marcus Rashford starting upfront and Juan Mata, Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard behind him.

And England's Rashford made good use of that start, scoring twice in the opening 17 minutes as United established their dominance.

Romelu Lukaku - the club's top scorer this season - was watching on from the bench - and could only applaud when he saw his teammate's goals, with the second one particularly impressive.

And United fans loved seeing the Belgian's show of support for Rashford.
