Martial was not part of the original deal when United first approached Inter Milan, but with the clubs unable to agree on a direct fee, United have reluctantly allowed Martial to go to Italy on a long-term loan deal, so that Inter will accept a lower fee than the reported £50 million they were holding out for for Perisic.ALSO READ: Manager opens door for Manchester United to complete £60m+ third signing
After initially being uninterested in the move, Martial has held talks with the Italian giants, and it now seems he is happy to join Inter, with the knowledge he will be guaranteed more first team action in one of the top European leagues which, at 21, will only benefit his experience and development, whilst Mourinho and United benefit from the proven, consistent, class that Perisic can offer.

Martial has been a source of frustration so far in his short career at Old Trafford – sometimes superb, sometimes distinctly average, he remains full of potential that could yet see him break through properly in a United shirt – and Mourinho will see this as a perfect solution to get the best of both worlds – and looks set to make the announcement shortly to confirm this is now a done deal.
Big mistake if they let martial go
