Manchester United are reportedly considering a £90m offer for Wales international forward Gareth Bale, according to the Daily Star.

The Premier League side, who have already signed defender Victor Lindelof (Benfica), striker Romelu Lukaku (Everton) and midfielder Nemanja Matic (Chelsea) this summer transfer window, have been continuously linked with another mega-money move for the Real Madrid winger ahead of the forthcoming 2017-18 campaign.

The 28-year-old, who has 66 international caps for The Dragons, scored nine goals and provided five assists in 27 appearances in all competitions for the UEFA Champions League and La Liga winners last season.

Bale, who arrived at the Bernabeu back in September 2013 following his then world-record £85.1m switch from Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur, has netted 67 times in 150 games overall for Madrid.

But the former Southampton youth graduate, who also has 26 strikes to his name for Wales, could be sold by Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane this summer as the club looks to land AS Monaco hitman Kylian Mbappe.

The report suggests Jose Mourinho’s Red Devils could therefore swoop in with a bid of £90m.

United’s club-record signing is midfielder Paul Pogba, following his £89m transfer from Juventus last summer.
