According to reports from Spanish outlet Diario Gol (as reported by the Daily Star), Sergi Roberto would be open to joining Manchester United if given the opportunity.

Manchester United have splashed in excess of £150million to sign the trio of Romelu Lukaku, Victor Lindelof and Nemanja Matic this summer, but despite the summer spree, manager Jose Mourinho is believed to be in the market to make another big signing before the end of the summer transfer window.ALSO READ: Manchester United have found their replacement If Ivan Perisic Does Not Turn up
Despite being a midfielder, Roberto admirably deputized at right-back for Barcelona last season and many including United boss, Jose Mourinho, are said to have been left impressed with the performances of the 25-year-old.

With Barcelona signing Nelson Semedo for big money over the summer, Roberto could well struggle for first team football next season though and the midfielder may want a transfer away in search of regular first team football – especially as it is a World Cup year.
Now reports are claiming that United are plotting to make a move for Roberto and that the player is also keen on joining the Red Devils, having already been in constant contact with Mourinho over the potential transfer.
