Manchester United have already signed a top quality goalscorer in the form of Romelu Lukau from Everton this summer.
The Belgian international scored on his official debut for the Red Devils against Real Madrid last night.

Last season, Zlatan Ibrahimovic was the top scorer for the Old Trafford club but in the month of April, he suffered a long term knee injury. After that, United did not renew the contract of the retired Swedish international but he continues to use the club’s facilities to train.The Belgian international scored on his official debut for the Red Devils against Real Madrid last night.

If the latest comments from Mourinho are anything to go by then the free agent is closer to signing for Manchster United again.
Not so long ago, Mourinho heavily praised Zlatan and stated that the former Barcelona star’s presence is positive for other players. Jose claimed (MUFC):
“Zlatan is a fantastic player and, immediately in training, we could feel what I call ‘functional empathy’ – people looking to him, him looking to connect with other players. He is an amazing link player, an amazing player. He could be anything on the pitch, not just a goalscorer.”

More recently, the ex Chelsea manager has told Sport Media Set that the 35-year-old center forward is closer to Manchester United than anyone else.
“Maybe he’ll stay with us. He has no contract but he is closer to Manchester.”
In the last campaign, Ibra scored 28 goals and provided 10 assists in 46 games in all competitions under Jose Mourinho.
