Goalkeeper
David de Gea has had two clean sheets in two matches and is expected to be in goal when Jamie Vardy and co come to the pitch. The Spanish number 1 is still the subject of a bid from Real Madrid, but is expected to stay at Old Trafford as manager, Jose Mourinho rates him highly.
Defence
Antonio Valencia has been impressive so far and will look to test his wits against Marc Albrighton or Demarai Gray. In the heart of the defence, Phil Jones and Eric Bailly are striking up a good partnership and have kept out summer signing, Victor Lindelof from the first team. Both players will give all their all on the pitch of play, and at left back, Daley Blind is expected to play as his defensive contributions will be tested against the marauding force of Riyad Mahrez.
Midfield
Mourinho has used a midfield pivot pair of Matic and Pogba which has brought in spectacular results. The Serbian powerhouse has liberated his French teammate, making it a very powerful pair in the middle of the park. Further forward in the attacking midfield department, a trio of Mata, Mkhitaryan and Martial should play from the blast of the whistle. Martial has looked good in his two matches so far this season, scoring after coming from the bench. Mata has impressed Mourinho with his willingness to put in a shift for the team while Mkhitaryan has been the revelation of the season so far, assisting 4 goals in just two matches.
Attack
Romeku Lukaku has impressed since his big money move from Everton and will look to continue his scoring run, after registering three goals in his first two league matches for the 20-time English champions.
