Good news for Arsenal as 3 important players extend contract

- Olivier Giroud, Laurent Koscielny and Francis Coquelin have signed contract extension at Arsenal

English Premier League giants Arsenal have on Thursday, January 12, 2017 announced that three of their players have agreed and signed contract extension to stay at the Emirates stadium.

The players are French striker Olivier Giroud, Laurent Koscielny and Francis Coquelin, but the Gunners are still hoping that the duo of Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil will sign another deals with the club.

While commenting on the new deals signed by these trio, Gunners boss Arsene Wenger expressed satisfaction with their performances since joining the club.

''We are very pleased that three important members of our team have committed to us for the long term.

''Francis has made tremendous technical strides over the past few years because he's so focused every day.

''Olivier has big experience in the game now and has become a more and more complete player since joining us.

''Laurent is of course a key part of our squad and I believe one of the best defenders in the world today. So overall, this is great news for us,'' Wenger explained

Arsenal currently occupy fifth position on the Premier League standings with 41 points after 20 games played this term.
