Read Real Reason Why Oliseh Axed Victor Moses From Super Eagles

Sunday, 1 November 2015

Indications have emerged why Nigeria's skipper, Victor Moses was left out of Nigeria's 2018 World Cup qualifiers against Swaziland in November.

According to a top soccer official, Oliseh axed Moses from the list submitted to the Nigeria Football Federation because he missed recent friendlies of the Eagles in Belgium. Moses is currently on loan to West Ham from Chelsea.

It was gathered that the precautionary measure taken by Moses against injury by opting out of friendly matches against DR Congo and Cameroon angered coach Sunday Oliseh. The official who was with the Super Eagles in Belgium, told africanFootball.com that Moses cannot choose the games he will play for Nigeria.

Moses and his handlers prefer to be called upon for competitive games while skipping friendly matches involving the Eagles. Although outstanding when Nigeria won a third African Nations Cup in 2013, Moses has not featured for the national team for several months.
