Eduardo Inda, the CEO of OkDiario.com, and who was a former editor for both top publications El Mundo and Marca, claims Barcelona star Lionel Messi considered leaving the La Liga giant.

According to him, Lionel Messi had many bids which included one from Premier League Champions Chelsea, and China and Europe. The bid from Asia would have seen Lionel Messi earn in excess of €150 million, which would have exceeded what France international Paul Pogba, Belgian Eden Hazard, Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo and Brazilian Neymar Jr. earn each season combined.

He also reported that the Argentine will most likely remain with the Spanish club but that he was considering leaving the Catalan side and the Spanish La Liga after the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. It is however pleasing to hear the Billionaire owner Roman Abramovich would be keen on breaking the bank to sign Lionel Messi should the chance arise.

Undoubtedly, Roman Abramovich has the fund to seal the move. The Argentine may be 30-years-old, but can still play at the highest level for the next four to five seasons, and his signing would benefit the team on and off the field.
