Nigerian singer, Tuface Idibia "2baba" said with tears in his eyes he watched Nigerians come out to speak up in protest on Monday, February 6.
2baba shared a video on his Instagram handle, on Tuesday, February 7, where he thanked Nigerians for their messages and solidarity.
The musician said he also watched as people called him a coward, but he is happy to be a coward that spoke up and will always continue to speak up.
Watch the video below: 2baba, who was seen as the 'poster boy' of the protest, on Saturday, February 4,announced the cancellation of the planned protest due to security concerns and public safety consideration.
Following the cancellation of his planned participation in the protest, some said it was because he was arrested and tortured by the Department of State Services (DSS) and others feel it was because he just didn’t want to be responsible for whatever would have happened at the venue of the protests.
But whatever the reason, 2baba spoke out saying he wasn’t arrested by the DSS.
