Antonio Conte claims Arsenal are the favourites to win the FA Cup, despite Chelsea storming to the Premier League title this season.
After finally lifting the trophy on Sunday after the 5-1 thrashing over Sunderland, the Blues now turn their attentions to next weekend’s FA Cup final.
The Gunners have endured an underwhelming campaign, failing to qualify for the Champions League by finishing fifth – one point behind Liverpool.
But despite this, Conte has kick-started the mind-games by claiming Arsene Wenger’s side are the favourites to clinch the FA Cup.
‘If you ask me who is the favourite now, I can say it is Arsenal,’ the Italian said. ‘They missed out on the Champions League.
‘This season will be fantastic if we are able to win the FA Cup. I try to find the best solution for us to bring all my players in the right form.’
Chelsea’s final game of the season provided an opportunity to pay tribute to John Terry – the former England man will leave Stamford Bridge after almost two decades at the club this summer.
‘It’s been an emotional day,’ Conte added. ‘I think it is great to finish the season well. We won the season with 30 wins.
