NOT FOR CHELSEA: As Arsenal receive HUGE injury boost ahead of FA Cup final with Chelsea

Saturday, 20 May 2017

Arsenal have been handed a major boost ahead of next weekend's FA Cup final with the news that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is back in light training.

After missing the games against Stoke and Sunderland, the England international is unlikely to be in the squad for the final day clash with Everton, but will be in contention for the cup final if there are no further complications.

The midfielder had established himself as a regular wing back in Arsene Wenger's revamped formation, but was forced off injured during the Gunners' 2-0 win at Southampton.

Wenger confirmed after the match that the England international was withdrawn because of a tight hamstring.

The north Londoners will hope he can shake off his fitness problems as he will have to play a key role if they are to topple champions Chelsea and claim their third FA Cup trophy in four years.

Ahead of the Wembley showdown, Arsenal will be first focusing on securing Champions League qualification for the 20th season in a row.

They must beat Everton at the Emirates and hope Liverpool drop points at home to Middlesbrough.
