The 22-year-old Paris-born colossal figure has been heavily linked with Antonio Conte’s side in recent months, after making a huge impression at defensive midfield this season for Monaco.
Bakayoko has been a regular this term under Leonardo Jardim as Monaco won the Ligue 1 title, whilst also reaching the Champions League semi-final.
And it appears as though Chelsea are already planning for next season after their recent title triumph, with the Telegraph reporting that they will open negotiations for Bakayoko next week.
The France international will be part of a significant recruitment drive at Chelsea, with funds of at least £200 million being made available to Conte, the source suggests.
The aforementioned report also indicates that Chelsea could even be prepared to sell or loan striker Michy Batshuayi in exchange for Bakayoko, with the Belgium international enduring a tough opening season since moving from Marseille.
Tiemoue Bakayoko has the second-best win ratio in duels (56%) of Monaco’s outfielders in Ligue 1 this season.
