Thursday 23 March 2017

A sad news reaching us from Plateau State is that Mr. Samuel Galadima, the state's commissioner for Housing and Urban Development is dead.

He was said to have slumped while jogging on Wednesday morning with Governor Simon Lalong at the Rwang Pam Stadium in Jos, the state capital.

Mr. Galadima was rushed to the Plateau Specialist Hospital, where he died.

Emmanuel Nanle, director of press affairs, confirmed the incident to NAN.

“Yes, the commissioner slumped while jogging and was rushed to the Plateau Specialist Hospital, where he died,” he said.

Nanle said the official was gasping for breath by the time he arrived the hospital.

“Doctors tried to stabilise him but could not. We have lost him,” he said.

It was not first time this kind of sudden death had happened. Recall the case was that of the former governor of Benue State, Aper Aku, who also died while jogging.
